NEW YORK CITY RIDING ACADEMY STUDENT APPLICATION PROCESS
Thank you for your interest in our Riding Academy. 

We are pleased to announce that the 2022 Horseback Riding Season will open May 2022. 


The NYCRA riding season will begin May 2022.  We are requesting that all students maintain their schedule at the same riding time each week.  Lessons must be purchased in four lesson increments.  All students must arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled riding time dressed in the Academy uniform.  No additional riding time will be given if a student arrives late after their scheduled riding time. Refunds are not available for missed lessons. Makeup lessons will be scheduled by the Academy at a predetermined time based on availability.  Any missed lesson can be rescheduled once.  A missed/unexcused makeup lesson will not be rescheduled.  Any lesson cancelled due to weather will be rescheduled as availability permits.  No refunds will be given for cancelled lessons due to weather. The NYCRA follows current CDC and New York City guidelines and requires all students to show proof of vaccination.

The not for profit New York city Riding Academy Manhattan Horseback Riding Program in the Randall's Island Park will operate from May 2022 through October 2022 from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on a daily basis.  The Academy welcomes children 7 years of age and adults.  The Academy offers two major styles of horseback riding, English and Western in 30 minute instructional lessons.

The Academy has a horseback riding dress code that applies to all of its students.  Herein contained is a detailing of the basic items in the Academy's dress code:  (1) horseback riding helmet; (2) jodhpurs or long fitted pants; (3) horseback foot wear such as riding boots; (4) long sleeved academy shirt and polo shirt; (5) water bottle; (6) rain gear; and (7) horseback riding cap.  The appropriate Academy dress code is subject to changes and modifications.

NYCRA SAFETY PROTOCOLS:
We are committed to providing the highest level of safety to all of our guests, staff, sponsors, riders, and community members, and we encourage you to join us in this effort in creating a healthy and safe environment for all.  Due to recent New York City vaccine mandates, New York City Riding Academy continues to monitor all CDC guidelines and protocols as it relates to COVID-19 in accordance with the new vaccine requirements for New Yorkers. We will require all guests 7 years old or older be fully vaccinated and that masks be worn while on the premises.
